In the run-up to the German Bundestag elections 2013, the satirical (but officially recognized) party, „Die Partei“, held the first fully interactive demonstration in front of the Brandenburger Tor in Berlin. Users could input demands to the party’s website, which would then be streamed live onto the screens.

I was involved as technical supervisor for the event.

With the aim of taking an attentiongrabbing stand against major parties in the Federal Election Campaign of 2013 in Germany, the iDemo was developed as an original and media-savvy PR stunt. It realised the idea of the first interactive demonstration where a party demanded exactly what their voters wanted. People could submit their claims online using a microsite and social networks. Their demands were then uploaded live onto the digital screens at the actual demonstration, in front of the historic Brandenburg Gate in the government district of Berlin.
